SUMMARY:2026 Para Dressage Video Competition (Round 1)
DESCRIPTION:Virtus is delighted to host the annual online Para Dressage video competition. There are 3 entry windows per year. \nThe video competition brings together the world’s best riders with an intellectual impairment to compete in a World Championship from their home environment\, making this an exciting and efficient way to enter top-level competition. \nPlease remember that for entry to Virtus World and Regional ‘in-person’ championships\, a prior video entry is a compulsory part of the qualification process.  \nEntry \nEntries may only be submitted through the online platform by Virtus member organisations. \nPlease be aware that the entry deadline is 28 February 2026. \nPlease note that late entries or entries without payment will not be accepted.  \nBefore submitting an entry\, please refer to the updated rulebook here. \n  \n\n\n\n    \n        \n            \n            \n                Para Equestrian Video Competition (Members)\n                 1 file(s)  116 KB\n            \n            \n                Download\n            \n        \n    \n\n\n\n\n\n\n    \n        \n            \n            \n                Para Equestrian Video Competition (public)\n                 1 file(s)  117 KB\n            \n            \n                Download\n            \n        \n    \n\n\n\n\n\n\n    \n        \n            \n            \n                Equestrian competition rules\n                 1 file(s)  90 KB\n            \n            \n                Download\n            \n        \n    \n\n\n\nIMPORTANT: To avoid your entry being rejected\, please follow the filming guidance here.\n\n\nThings to think about when filming your Virtual Dressage entry \n  \n\nWhere possible\, avoid anything that provides personal or identifying information in the background or setting where the video is being filmed.\nEnsure that you only have the horse and rider combination in the film that you are recording.\nDo not share the video content with anyone else.\nPlease make sure you use your own device to record where possible.\nCheck the rules for correct competition clothing and tack.\nAvoid filming into direct sunlight.\nThink about the time of day that you record your video\, low setting sun\, mist etc can all have an effect on the quality of the video.\nIf your horse is dark in colour think about the background of your video. If your arena is surrounded by dark hedges your horse may blend in with the background.\nThe filmer must stand at C.\nThe filmer needs to always keep you in the centre of the screen\, following you around the arena and zooming in where necessary.\nVideos must be filmed in landscape (turn the phone on its side)\nCan you see all the letters around your arena and is it the correct size (20x40m)\nAll videos must be started by filming the days newspaper that you are recording on\nAll videos must clearly state the riders name\, horse name and which test they are riding\nVideos can only be submitted via Youtube.\n\n  \n\n\n
