It is with regret that the 2022 World Football Championships planned to take place in France in July will be cancelled due to insufficient teams being able to confirm their participation. Due to the upcoming Regional Games later in 2022 and then Global Games in 2023, it is unlikely to be possible to reschedule the event however all options are being explored.
We would particularly like to thank those teams that had confirmed their attendance and appreciate the efforts you made to secure your entry – we share your disappointment and will be working with other nations to consider how the Virtus football programme can move forward in the future.
