The VIBF have confirmed that the 3x3 Basketball competition will be held in November 2026. Originally, planned to be part of the Asia-Oceania Regional Games (now re-arranged for early 2027), the basketball event will go ahead as planned in November 2026 in Thailand.  

We are delighted to announce that, for the first time, the Virtus Global Games will be held in Africa. The 7th edition of the worlds largest sports event for elite athletes with an intellectual impairment will take place in Cairo, Egypt. Details of the competition programme are scheduled to be confirmed in late 2025.
